Uşak University conducts its research activities with Uşak University research activities; It aims to produce information and technology, support development and development, and develop the region in specialization areas, especially by cooperating with regional institutions. In this direction, it adopts the following research-oriented application approaches.
- It establishes the "Research Management Model" that will feed the scientific, design, and technological developments that will ensure the development of the country and the region will ensure the quality of research and development activities, and leads the effective execution of the defined processes with the participation of the relevant units.
- It determines priority areas by taking into account scientific and technological developments, country policies, regional needs, and researcher and infrastructure potential, and encourages interdisciplinary research in these priority areas for industry, creating added value, and increasing employment.
- It manages its physical, technical, and financial resources in a way that supports priority research areas and covers all units to carry out research and development activities effectively.

- It supports researchers through TTO to support and facilitate the transfer of technologies produced within it to the private sector. Intellectual property protects intellectual property rights through training and works on patents and commercialization initiatives.
- Through TTO, it provides consultancy and support services to researchers on project and scientific article writing, and R&D funding seeking. It effectively announces national and international project calls within the institution, encourages researchers to benefit from international funds, and meets the needs of researchers for written or electronic resources. Provides resources for conducting research activities, and establishing and improving the necessary infrastructure.
- Every year, Uşak University evaluates its research performance through Institutional Internal Evaluation Report, YÖKAK University Performance Indicators, YÖK University Monitoring and Evaluation Report, TÜBİTAK Innovative and Entrepreneurial University Index Ranking, different international university rankings, and Web of Science statistics.
